Trip History allows you to monitor where and how each vehicle in your fleet has been driven.
Using dashcam GPS data, you can view travel routes, event points, and video footage on an interactive map.
What You Can Do with Trip History #
- View daily or trip-based routes for each vehicle
- Check detailed event logs including time, location, and type
- Play video footage directly from specific GPS points
- Identify Parking Mode sessions
- See AI-based driver behavior events (if using a DMS-supported dashcam)
How to Access Trip History #
You can access Trip History in two ways:
From the side bar
- Go to Trip History menu from the side bar.
- Select the camera and choose a date or range.
- Choose a route to display it on the map.
From a camera card
- Tap the Trip History button on the specific camera card.
- Choose a date or range.
- Choose a route to display it on the map.
Understanding Routes #
Route Icons

Routes are automatically generated from GPS logs and represent a single trip.
FLEETA groups GPS data into separate routes based on the following conditions:
- GPS/Cloud connection loss: If disconnected for over 30 minutes, a new route is created
- Parking Mode: If the vehicle stays in Parking Mode for over 4 hours, the next movement starts a new route
- Dashcam power off: Powering off ends the current route
- 24-hour limit: Continuous tracking is split after 24 hours
Each route can be expanded or collapsed to view GPS points and timestamps.
Map Interaction & Video Playback #

1. Click a route to highlight it on the map.
- If multiple routes are selected, clicking on a specific route will center the map on that route and highlight it for easier viewing
2. Click a GPS log point (icon on the map) or select an event from the tracking log list to see a detailed event card.
- You can check the time, event type, and related info.
If a video is available for that event:
- You’ll see a thumbnail and a play button for instant playback.
- You can also download the video directly from the event card.
DMS Events (Optional) #
If your dashcam supports a Driver Monitoring System (DMS):
- Events like drowsiness and distraction appear with AI event icons on the map
- They are also shown as chips in the event log
